WHAT IS FAITH? Sermon #2 July 14, 2019

WHAT IS FAITH?

We are still in our month of Faith and as promised last week Sunday, we'll continue on understanding some facts about faith. Last week we looked at faith as a power point and faith as a power link, today, we'll continue on the teaching series.

3: Faith Times Your Victory

Do you know that God does not time your victory? Your victory in life is timed by your faith. Why will God organise your healing for next week? What is He gaining by keeping you on the sick bed between now and next week? It is your faith that times your victory. God's Word says "For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation" (2Corinthians 6:2). Faith presents an open access for everyone to reach to God at the instance of his or her faith.

Think about this: Will God tell anybody to come and be saved tomorrow if the person comes out today? Can you imagine someone say, "Jesus come and save me," and He says, "No, I have saved enough people today, come next week."? In the same way, can you imagine therefore that a man has faith to be healed and Jesus says, "No, no, no, I have healed too many people today — in American, in Kenya, in Europe — your own turn will be in two weeks' time." Can you imagine that? Silly and impossible right? Make no mistakes about it, God derives no joy in seeing you being sick, in lack and want or seeing you failing in life. None of these brings joy to the Father. It is the devil that derives joy in the distress of people.

Therefore, never sit down and be imagining that someday it will work. Stop sitting down at one point thinking, "When it is time, I know there will be a change." It is your faith that determines your time! As far as I know, God has concluded your own change of position for shining, but it is your faith that will secure your own personal position of shining in the prophecy in Isaiah 60:1. God does not time your change or victory, it is your faith that does. When your faith comes alive, your change becomes a natural sequence!

Remember the Spirit of God in last week Sunday sermon, made us to understand that faith is a power point. That means we are to TURN IT ON in our lives before we experience its active living power. The secret is to understand that you have faith ALREADY. For no man can be a Christian without having faith. That's why we are called the BELIEVERS. God has imparted a measure of faith to you, "...according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith" (Romans 12:3). It is your duty now to let that faith come alive. When faith comes alive, victory is delivered instantly. Praise God!
Stay blessed in the Name of our Lord Jesus.

Kindly share this with friends and family.
