WALKING IN FAVOUR! (PT.2)
"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." (Joshua 1:8 KJV)
Two days ago, we looked at what it entails to walk in God's favour and yesterday, we revealed the efficacy of the Word of God– how curative and creative it is. Today, we'll be looking at the relationship between the Word of God and God's favour.
Walking in favour only happens when you follow the Word of the Lord. When you follow the Word of the Lord, then you will be blessed, and walk in that blessing that is wrapped up in His Word. Every provision of God's Word is the embodiment of God's blessing. To attain this blessing, you have to KNOW the Word, BELIEVE the Word and DO the Word. There is no other way! (See Act 20:32)
Also, understand that the Word of God engenders His presence. It's like the staff of our African traditional kings. The king's messenger takes the staff with him anywhere he's sent to deliver a message; as he goes with the staff, anyone who comes in contact with him would prostrate to him because of the staff because the signifies the king's presence even if he wasn't present in person–bodily. Walking in another direction, against the Word of the Lord is to make the decision to leave His presence–to leave His favour behind. That's why it's as if God doesn't bless His children but He blesses us daily, we are the one being rebellious to His Word!
People who give up their favourable lives find that things begin to change rapidly. People who once had joy, strength, and peace will one day realize that they haven’t felt those emotional blessings for a long time. That they haven’t been blessed since the day that they chose to walk away from favour!
Get on God's Word, meditate on it and yearn towards putting it into practice. The Word of God only gets activated upon your life when you put it to work.
Walking in favour is allowing God's Word to thrive in your life!
Prayer:
Father in the Name of Jesus, I thank you for the potency in your Word through the Holy Spirit. As I study, believe and act upon your Word, I declare that favour will not elude me in Jesus Name. Amen!
