SALSF SUNDAY SERMON 27TH OF JANUARY 2019

MOVE FORWARD WITH GOD'S PROMISE!

"Now, unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us" (Ephesians 3:20)

Most times in Church, during the worship section, we lift up our hands towards Heaven and say "Lord I want you to use me." With tears in our eyes and unfettered burning desire in our heart, we keep those hands in the air, expecting an instantaneous answer to our prayer without having the full understanding of the fulfilled promises of God towards our prayer request.

What does God promise us if we say, "I want you to use me." He promises you three things that can all be found in Joshua 1.

God promises strength and divine protection -- "No one will be able to stand against you." (Joshua 1:5) In other words, what God asks you to do, he'll give you the power to do. Every divine vision enjoys divine backing and grace–in the manner of strength and favour– to fulfil it.

God promises success -- "You will be successful." (Joshua 1:6) God wants you to succeed in serving Him. He doesn't want you to be a failure. No one is more committed to your success other than God.

God promises support -- "I will be with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9 NIV) God's word, done God's way, will not lack God's support. When your life, academics, business and every other that concerns you is backed by God, it doesn't matter what adversaries you face, one thing is certain, you are emerging victorious!

The only way to activate all these in your life is to trust God with everything. There is no impossibility with God. Please trust Him with everything, including your life and you'll watch His grace flows through you.

God has many, many promises for you in the Bible but you've got to discover them. Joshua 1:8 says, "Always remember what is written in this book. Study it day and night to be sure to obey everything that's written there. If you do this, you will be wise and successful in everything." (TLB)

Would you like to be wise in life? Would you like to be successful in life? God's promise of success is not based on your ability. It's based on your commitment to His Word.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO ACCOMPLISH ANY SET OBJECTIVE IS RELEASED UNTO YOU RIGHT NOW IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. AMEN! CONGRATULATIONS!
